Kirk O’Donnell

MDL1/Medical Director/Board Certified Family Physician

Dr. Kirk O’Donnell is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician. He completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and then served in the U.S. Air Force for four years at MacDill Air Force Base as a Flight Surgeon. He owns and runs House Call Concierge Medicine and Alternative ReLeaf Concierge. Dr. O’Donnell played Junior A ice hockey, NCAA ice hockey at UMASS Boston and semi-professional ice hockey in Madrid, Spain, and has a passion for the science around performance optimization. For general health and wellness, Dr. O’Donnell is a huge proponent of daily exercise and has become a vocal advocate for CrossFit due to its focus on functional fitness and its scalability and thus accessibility to all. He believes that in almost all cases, despite exercise history, physical impairments or health issues, CrossFit can be an extremely effective way to regain your health. He was one of the first physicians to complete the CrossFit MD L1 trainer program and conducts in-gym assessments for his practice and collaborates with South Tampa CrossFit coaches on prehab/rehab programs and on personalized programs and scaling options for athletes needing a bit more attention.
