Injuries happen. Anytime an athlete aggressively pursues an activity with intensity and volume over a long period of time the chance of being sidelined by an injury increases. Too much work with too little rest, lack of mobility, mental fatigue, and/or ignoring your body's signals to take it easy can all be precursors to injury. When you hear the term "athlete" what do you think of? For years the images that would first come to my mind were those of professional athletes; the Michael Phelps' and Desi Linden's of the world. The men and women who have dedicated years of concentrated effort to their sport and have risen to the top in their respective fields. Happy New Year!!! 2018 is gonna be awesome!!! I’m going to keep my resolutions *this* year! Wait… we are very nearly halfway through 2018. Has it been awesome? Did you set goals for 2018? Tis the season of change. Trees are shedding thier leaves, mornings are crisp, shorts and tanks have been replaced by jackets and boots and we will soon celebrate the beginning of a new year. It's a time that we use to reflect upon our accomplishments of the previous year and dream of what we want to accomplish in the next. For all of the things you'd like to achieve, what are your reasons?  If your goal this year is to focus on your h
